To Republicans hesitant about voting against Trump:
Isn’t stopping the existential threat to democracy that is Trump worth the risk of ushering in an era of economic prosperity like those under Clinton, Obama, and Biden?

The 100th anniversary of the Indian Citizenship Act came and went with little fanfare.

But perhaps that’s no surprise. The legislation was signed into law with little enthusiasm from Native Americans; after all, American citizenship was not an aspiration for the first peoples of the United States.

The act was mainly used as a coercive tool to encourage assimilation.

I'm angry.

I had friends in Red Deer and #yyc who attended the AUPE rallies yesterday. I was in #yeg.
There was only ONE MLA, Sarah Hoffman, who attended.

Where was the rest of the Alberta NDP caucus? Nenshi?

The worker's party was basically absent.

SHAME.

Oh but Chad! You're hurting the party and the province!!

I will not falter on my values. Period the end. The party of the worker has lost its way and until we go to a GE, I'm voting with my time, treasure, and talent.

I will not work for a party that isn't working for us.

in reply to Chad

Don't ever, EVER get me wrong - I'm critical because the UCP needs to be defeated.

Are you familiar with this website? It will let you define your height, weight, power, level, drops budget, then pick any route or segment and it will give you a time estimate for completion using different bike/wheel choices that are available to you. It would help you guess whether it can be done in an hour at your desired level of effort. #zwift zwifterbikes.web.app/

Scholz Expresses Confidence in His Re-Election in 2025 Despite Abysmal Polls sputnikglobe.com/20240907/scho… BERLIN (Sputnik) - German Chancellor Olaf Scholz expressed confidence that the current coalition would last until the end of its term, and that he and his Social Democratic Party (SPD) would be re-elected in the next parliamentary elections in 2025. #news #press

I used to know Herbie (in passing). For quite a while he lived on the same road as my folks in Milton Keynes. Never even knew who he was or what he'd contributed to the music I heard growing up.

A quiet and reserved man, in a semi detached house a couple of hundred yards from where I grew up.

I think I only found out who he was in the late 90's.

it was in Sky that I first heard of #HerbieFlowers. I loved their version of Toccata, such energy.

There is a conversation in the open source project repo about whether or not to take it out, incidentally. Perhaps they will decide to for a future release.
