I am reading this at the moment. An essay on the ethics and morality of memory has perhaps been one of the most meaningful to me in any of these pop culture books from Blackwell and including Open Court's series.

I found antlions under my porch! A type of damselfly larvae that digs pits ants fall in. I've noticed a lot of ant activity in my garden, these guys moved in to correct the imbalance :).

There's advice in the organic gardening world to not use pesticides because then the predators can move in. It looks like this :)

Little scrumpy bug dude with some fleshy hairy protrusion type things, in a brown flavor, but about a quarter of it's body is mouth. The mouth is a rather frightening appendage, just a couple of pinchers that look like they are ready to punch into several of your most fleshy bits so they can suck out your juices.
