This time around, Jason Pargin (a.k.a David Wong), of John Dies at the End fame, ditches the horror and sci-fi tropes and goes for a contemporary satire of social media madness.
He dealt with social media before, especially in his Zoe Ashe novels. But this time the more realistic setting and the attempt to find a way out of the vortex results in more than fun satire.
