Al Jazeera cameraman Fadi al-Wahidi has been injured by Israeli military gunfire in northern Gaza.
“Israeli forces shot at the Al Jazeera crew, and the network’s photographer, our beloved colleague Fadi al-Wahidi, was injured by a sniper’s bullet in the neck during our coverage,” Al Jazeera Arabic’s Anas al-Sharif said in a post on X.
The bill finally comes due for Elon Musk
The Tesla CEO has long promised — and failed to deliver — a fully autonomous vehicle. With this week’s robotaxi reveal, his time is up.

Of my 12 observations this year of conopid* flies – mostly parasites of adult wasps – from US, UK and Croatia, none have collected a single comment or endorsement of the genus or species.

Did I get them right? Hopefully. Am I an expert? No. Just wish there was a guide out there on these fascinating flies. How they ever evolved into being is a fascinating thought to entertain.
* Conopids are also known as thick-headed flies, beegrabbers and waspgrabbers. For their life history, see: Gibson's thesis (2011), titled "The evolutionary biology of Conopidae (Diptera): a life history, molecular, morphological, systematic, and taxonomic approach" repository.library.carleton.ca… which, among other details, has "the first ever key to world genera of Conopidae".
Want change? It doesn’t come from the top down but rather from the bottom up.
I really wish pundits would spend half the time on congressional and state races as they do on the run for POTUS. Maybe cover campaigns in years not dividable by four .

The Tesla robotaxi sounds small.
Bloomberg reports that the soon-to-be-unveiled purpose-built driverless vehicle will have “two front seats and two doors that open upward like butterfly wings,” citing sources familiar. That would square with the concept art we saw in Walter Isaacson’s Elon Musk biography. Tesla could also announce an autonomous van, and Full Self-Driving capabilities for its Semi trucks.
