In Edinburgh on Tuesday, I picked up this copy of 'Pragmatism' which is part of MIT Press' Essential Knowledge series.

Now, I have a degree in Philosophy and used Pragmatism as the methodology for my doctorate. This is *not* a "reader-friendly" overview of Pragmatism.

Being friendly to readers means not complaining in the introduction about a lack of space. It also means introducing concepts before you casually use them.

I've got a few others in this series as MIT Press sent me some a decade ago when they suggested I write one on Digital Literacies.

It wasn't great timing for me, as I was just about to leave Mozilla and start consulting. But I'd like to think I would have done a more genuinely reader-friendly job 🙄
