I'm likely voting for Harris (despite not liking many of her policies, Gaza, war against sex workers, etc.) even though I live in a state that will solidly go for Harris. I don't think I've voted for a candidate that won since maybe Clinton (but my preferred candidate has always won the state).
I have a feeling there are other people like me that might make this a crazy big[ger] win for Harris than ever before.

Ok, this is very useful. I need to save that locally. I know the ones I use, but there are a bunch more useful ones.

in reply to John-Mark Gurney • • •To continue this a bit more. The Dems actively drive away voters like me. See comments Nanci Pelosi said about having a strong GOP party. They need a strong GOP party so that they don't have to provide for the common good of America but still get elected. They don't need to be against genocide, etc.
This is also why I'm no longer registered a dem. I want the dems to have to worry and actually run FOR something instead of against the GOP.

in reply to John-Mark Gurney • • •I would love to see two coherent, functional parties with actual stances and reasonable math-based policy proposals.
But not in my lifetime.

in reply to Michael Lucas • • •Yep, it's all about the feels and not science.
Until the electorate learns about science it'll be like this for a long time.
See all the evidence for masking, providing homes to homeless, providing UBI, climate change, public transit, against adding more freeway lanes, pollution, etc. (I keep on thinking of more, but have to end the list somewhere)
Yet the electorate refuses to listen when there is hard evidence.
W/ climate change we are going to end up with the above out of necessity.
