In judicial races, endorsements can speak volumes: Even in nonpartisan races, candidates for judge often receive backing from political parties or advocacy groups that hint at their ideological bent. boltsmag.org/whats-on-your-loc…

No, it’s not too early to talk about who should lead the Justice Department in a Harris administration—and one person stands out from the pack. trib.al/JpXEGWM

Changed my profile pic to one from the Harris rally that happened in Houston.
Three days until election day and hoping this it’s a celebration pic as well.

I read an article that the other day that was a thought exercise on how Trump could manipulate the certification of votes in some states moving the majority number in his favor. It seems more than a thought exercise and entirely plausible but there were a number of things that would have fall in place and people who would have to fall in line.

Anyway, here is another article showing key dates that I’m sure all us politics nerds and poliwonks will be marking as we get through the holidays.

Oh yeah… happy anniversary to me. Thirty years ago I stepped on the yellow footprints at Marine Corps bootcamp.

The Linux Lite logo is a yellow feather to represent the lightweight Linux distribution that works exceptional well on older hardware. The Linux distribution is "light as a feather."

But the Apache2 HTTP server also has a feather as a logo, but Apache2 is not considered lightweight compared to other web servers like Nginx or Lighttpd.

>many of America's oligarchs pay no tax at all. Some of them even get subsidies intended for poor families, like Jeff Bezos, whose tax affairs are so scammy that he was able to claim to be among the working poor and receive a federal Child Tax Credit, a $4,000 gift from the American public to one of the richest men who ever lived:

"The world is striving to reach net-zero emissions as we try to ward off dangerous global warming. But will getting to net-zero actually avert climate instability, as many assume?

Our new study examined that question. Alarmingly, we found reaching net-zero in the next few decades will not bring an immediate end to the global heating problem. Earth’s climate will change for many centuries to come.

And this continuing climate change will not be evenly spread. Australia would keep warming more than almost any other land area. For example if net-zero emissions are reached by 2060, the Australian city of Melbourne is still predicted to warm by 1°C after that point.

But that’s not to say the world shouldn’t push to reach net-zero emissions as quickly as possible. The sooner we get there, the less damaging change the planet will experience in the long run."

The target seems to be 2030 or 2050, however some have predicted that the various Atlantic currents could collapse before then, in fact some are suggesting 2025, so to be those targets are rather irrelevent as if those currents collapse the climate will shift anyway.
