Watching this, I thought of folks like @GottaLaff and @lolgop, who broadcast info and encouraged people to connect into grassroots resistance networks.

I don't know what that looks like for the coming four years, but it's good to know that thinkers are examining the European resistance and reminding us how to fight 'dirty' in ways that can make a difference.

"Poilievre's office says it has 'no knowledge' of interference."

"CSIS did not advise the Conservative Party of Canada of any intelligence suggesting there was foreign interference in the leadership contest."

Of course not! He's not allowed to see the reports. CSIS doesn't share intel with randos.

"Common sense" is another way of saying "flying by the seat of your pants." Combine that with the willful ignorance on display by not getting security cleared.

Petition: Ban fossil fuel advertising and sponsorship

The Our Planet Our Future Book Club read and discussed Badvertising: Polluting Our Minds and Fuelling Climate Chaos, which points out that advertising often urges us to do things contrary to our best interest, for example high-carbon activities like flying, or buying SUVs, and argues that such advertising should be banned. There's a petition on the subject here.

New in PN: Kash Patel's nomination signals how bad things can get

If you need to bulk-remove some containers with similar name and since "docker rm" doesn't support wildcards you can run following:

docker ps -a --format json | jq -r .Names | rg app-run | xargs docker rm

(removes all "*app-run*" containers)

I was originally going to call this post โ€œWhat makes a programming language real?โ€ because I saw some people picking a fight on the internet about this type of topic, yet again, and it got me thinking as to why we even broach the topic in the first place.

If it works, but it's unreadable and insane it... well, fuck it, I'm not going back in there to fix it.

I still consider that harmless.
But i would probably have divided that sketch into two parts, since those detailed structures in the upper corner won't be reusable in other parts of the design if they only are helper geometry.
in reply to NK30 ๐Ÿ”œ39C3

@NK30 Yeah, the stuff in the corner was there because I needed a couple things in this sketch to depend on the shape of another sketch (rotation clearance) but the other sketch depended on this one for positioning. Even though the things one sketch depends on doesn't affect the things the other sketch does, it still triggers FreeCAD's circular reference detector. I'm sure there's a better way to do it, but I'm still learning.

It's not a coincidence that plastic producers also torpedoed the climate action accords and democracy.

The fossil fuel industry & its financiers are frying the planet & converting government into corrupt oligarchy.

SO there are things that we can do daily to recycle plastic. A lot of folks say recycling doesnโ€™t work. But it does when it does. Take beverage containers here in #BC and #Alberta we have great system that actually do recycle the material. We need to use that legislation to get more expanded producer liability to have more of this valuable material reused.

Interesting.

I don't use markdown much, but for something like this i wouldn't mind something similar for quick things.

why do i suspect that if the election had gone the other way no "apologies" would be forthcoming?
