#FourYearsAgoToday #AreYouBetterOff

December 2, 2020 – In a 46-minute videotaped speech, Trump railed against the “tremendous voter fraud” of an election system that he said was “under coordinated assault and siege.” A day earlier, his own attorney general, William Barr, said, “to date, we have not seen fraud on a scale that could have affected a different outcome in the election.” nytimes.com/2020/12/02/us/poli…

Finally got to working with #homeassistant instead of playing in XYZ corp’s smart home walled garden. Knowing that I own all the data on a server that physically resides with me feels good. Learned a ton about #matter / #thread over the process too.

I feel like you don’t realize just how restrictive proprietary smart home apps are until you start designing your own automations. Or bringing your own devices and using MQTT to push data back and forth.

Greg Kroah-Hartman noted that with these changes for Linux 6.13, it's now possible to make more Rust-based kernel drivers possible:
"rust misc driver bindings and other rust changes to make misc drivers actually possible. I think this is the tipping point, expect to see way more rust drivers going forward now that these bindings are present. …“

Which Filaments are generally safe for contact with Food? What do you recommend?

As one of my first ever self designed Prints and 3D Models, I wanna do a big organiser for my Kitchen! This is my current progress on that:
Image/photo

One of my friends gave me a word of caution to use the right filament when it comes to storing things like Sugar, Pepper, Salts and Tea Bags with Printed Plastics. So I wanted to ask if any of you have Good Safe Filament Recommendation for this type of thing? I heard PETG is supposedly safe, is that true?
Thanks!

It really doesn't matter too much as the entire process isn't food safe.

This is such small potatoes corruption compared to what we've already seen from Trump. And it's going to look like specks of dirt with what's coming up.
