Here, Rand Paul creates the false dichotomy, that if the US is helping Ukraine, the US cannot help flood victims in Asheville, North Carolina.
He does this, because it sounds convincing at first, but upon further inspection, Ukraine funding has nothing to do with Asheville. He might as well have said, โWe cannot fund Asheville because I just got a pay raiseโ, or pick any other random expense.
