Spotify, shit as it is, is just one of many streaming music providers. There are no switching costs, and you can choose between a ton of providers. That's why Spotify doesn't need to be regulated under the DMA.
I swear to god people are allergic to basic facts and reality these days.
With #Markdown, the original (inconsistently designed) #LML syntax format is a minimal set that made much sense when used when typing emails and so forth. Later-on, various tools needed more syntax elements for obvious reasons. Those syntax add-ons extended the original Markdown. However, they were not standardized.
This resulted in a zoo of very similar but incompatible set of Markdown flavors. Those differences cause information loss by moving from one "Markdown" tool to another "Markdown" tool because Markdown is not Markdown in most cases.
In contrast to that, #orgdown, the syntax of #Emacs #orgmode, as the one and only original form has - by far - the largest set of syntax elements and various extensions by modules. Any other adaptation of this syntax in other tools chose a real sub-set of the original syntax elements. This makes data transitions much smoother, is less error-prone and causes less data loss.

Du sagst, dass #Markdown schlecht ist, weil es zu wenig Syntax bietet. Die Erweiterung der Syntax durch z. B. #Obsidian Plugins (ja, die funktionieren nur in Obsidian) oder Flavours setzt du mit einem Lock-In Effekt gleich.
#Orgdown ist wesentlich besser, da es mehr Syntaxelemente bereit hält. Die Elemnte, die fehlen, können durch module hinzugeführt werden.
#Orgdown funktioniert aber nur mit #Emacs #Orgmode?

@torb MD ist schlecht, weil inkonsistent designed und dadurch unnötig schwer zu lernen und zu merken. Weiters ist es unnötig kompliziert, manuell zu tippen.
Syntax-Erweiterungen, die in anderen MD-Tools nicht erkannt werden, bedeuten potentiellen Datenverlust und das ist für mich auch schlecht, ja. Das ist IMO auch unnötiges lock-in (neben der Closed-Source-Problematik von Obsidian).
@torb Orgdown ist in dieser Hinsicht besser, ja.
Es gibt hier keine fehlenden Elemente im direkten Vergleich. Das Original hat alles Notwendige (mit üblichen LML-Einschränkungen).

Okay. Ich persönlich komme gut mit #Markdown zurecht. Es fehlt mir auch an keiner Syntax.
Womit ich nicht zurecht komme ist deine Internetseite 😆Nimm es nicht persönlich aber wenn ich bei deinen vorhin verlinkten clippings noch nach "Focus on Linux" suchen muss und dann nur bei dem entsprechenden Eintrag nur die Hauptseite des Podcast und nicht die konkrete Folge verlinkt ist, steige ich aus.
@torb Podcasts haben leider selten Webseiten. Ich habe focusonlinux.podigee.io/70-ema… verlinkt und dort hast du direkt die mp3. Ansonsten macht man das üblicherweise ohnehin in seinem Podcatcher und das ist bei jedem anders.
IMHO hat das also nichts mit meiner Webseite zu tun. 😉
@torb Ich habe keine Probleme. Kann meine MD Dateien von Obsidian ganz normal mit Mousepad lesen. Dazu nehme ich auch nur die nötigsten Plugins, weil zu viele Köche verderben den Brei. Auch hatte ich schon Datenverlust mit meinen Test Vault
@tiger_Karl @torb Ja klar. Wenn man evaluiert, welche Syntaxelemente woanders funktionieren und sich dann genau auf das konzentriert, dann klappt das.
Aber damit bist du vermutlich in einer winzig kleinen Minderheit. Es ist auch verständlich, dass man sich nach einer Wahl für ein Tool auch dafür entscheidet, es auszureizen.
Insofern kann ich das kaum als Tipp weitergeben.
Ich versuche immer mich weiterzuentwickeln nach dem Zazen-Prinzip. Neben Obsidian möchte ich auch noch andere Markdown Tools ansehen. Am liebsten mit Graphen und daher freue ich mich über jede neue Perspektive
