The Syrian Center for Human Rights reports a convoy of US military reinforcements arriving in the area of the Kurdish city of Kobani in northern Syria, near the border with Turkey.
In addition, reinforcements were reported to have arrived via US cargo planes to the Harb al-Jir base in eastern Syria - amid the escalation of fighting between pro-Turkish forces and the Kurdish SDF forces.

one thing I sort of miss about being a church musician in a (progressive) episcopal church is all the music this time of year. I especially miss the boar’s head and yule log festival we did on epiphany (the end of the 12 days of christmas)

@davidtoddmccarty Some churches still have good music, and some still use actual candles.
I was having coffee with my best friends this a.m. and we used to all go to the same UU church (they still do) and apparently at the candlelight service sometime in the last decade there *was* an actual fire, from someone tripping.
But also unknown to me, there has ALWAYS been a fire-extinguisher brigade of sorts, about 8 people distributed in the congregation, ready to leap into action.
We got a new Hubzilla version early for Christmas!
Well, that's a nice early Christmas present: Hubzilla 10 was recently rolled out, and Netzgemeinde was updated today. There has even already been a quick bug fix release, 10.0.1.
One killer feature is the introduction of conversation containers as per FEP-171b. (streams) has had them for quite a while already, Forte was born with them, now Hubzilla has them, too. I pity all those with no sensible conversation support.
