My fan broke.
It's gone through 7 layer burritos of hell so I can't be mad. Farewell soldier.
Fortunately my bed is right by the bathroom and that has a fan. Not the same, but good enough.

Many years ago, I was invited to dinner with Peter Thiel to discuss climate change.
All I can say is he's not an intellectual heavyweight.

Adding pain and balance to touch, taste, sight, sound and smell, humans already have more than five senses. But, could we develop even more, like X-ray vision? @sciencefocus explains why scientists aren’t thrilled about the idea:

If Ukraine falls, it will be hard to spin as anything but a debacle for the United States, and for its president.

Science is more than five decades into the modeling endeavor,
and still our best tools can only get us so far.
“At the end of the day, we are all making estimates of what’s coming,” Rohde said.
“And there is no magic crystal ball to tell us the absolute truth.”
We’re left instead with a partial picture, gestural in its scope, pointing toward a world we’ve never seen before.

"I'd like to express the Brazilian government's enormous concern about the policy adopted by the Meta company, which is like an airport windsock, changing its position all the time according to the winds."
"Brazilian society will not be at the mercy of this kind of policy,”

I wish Westminster held these US Social Media corporations to account in the same way.
Yet each and every UK govt. department, council and institution embrace and utilise their services to disseminate information.
This compels the UK populus to register personal details with them to access this information. This is despite their weak data protections and inadequate content moderation.
Generating immense revenue from surveillance advertising, profits are spirited out of UK jurisdiction thereby avoiding tax which degrades our health system, roads, education and other essential services.
These profits further enrich thier right-wing billionaire owners and fund global broadcast of their own world view. An abuse of power that has demonstratably destabilised countries who do not align or agree with them.
Why is it just Brazil that has the cojones to do this and take them on?

no windchill, sunny, almost warm.
Animals are out and about.
Saw three red-tail hawks working together. Dogs brought a muskrat back from their romp in the swamp, which was gross. Happy cats sleeping in the sunbeams.
finished some work in the experimental fields to be ready to go in the spring.
Read a great book about farm tools written by a friend.
looked in to downsizing some equipment, like the tractor, if possible.

Which makes it even harder. GUI is one place where you really want to have inheritance, and Rust doesn't have it.
@argv_minus_one @ireneista we suppose, in rust, a widget would be a checkbox with empty state and no label?

I understand, though, that you're not a peak performance when overheated. Thermal throttling affects us all.
