My very first personal computer. BK 0010-01 (BK 0010 has a membrane keyboard, mine had a mechanical one). Specs:
32Kb memory, 4MHz CPU, 16bit Q-Bus... I had two 5in floppy disk drives connected to it, monitor and a dot matrix printer. I loved it. Part of me wishes I still had it. It didn't have a BIOS per-se, but it had an analog - 8kb of 32 were used as a BIOS.
Ok a few minutes ago this noise started happening and I didn’t know why. It was coming from near the fridge but not in the fridge and it happened right after a salesman rang the doorbell
My student and I tried to figure it out and we isolated it to…
The doorbell speaker. And I told the student what it was and he said, “maybe if you ring the doorbell again it’ll stop.”
And it DID
And I have no idea what that means or if I need to get it fixed. Hopefully if it happens again that will fix it again but… will it?
