I'm sure we aren't alone when I say my husband & I feel like we've aged 10 years in the last month. Went from feeling content & dealing with run-of-the-mill parenting & midlife challenges; to having existential fears. Planning to refresh my husband's France citizenship & look into getting it for the kids. Wondering if we should get a gun licence or take other drastic security measures. We live close to the border with the US and it's always been a blessing. Now it's a fear.

wow, that's cool. There's even a little sign next to the road (I hope it's small enough to not be a violation!).
I have no connection to Seattle, only visited briefly once. But, I like that the city has a freely available archive of photos taken by it's internal departments over the last 100 years.
@HybridElephant Chubby & Tubby was the greatest store ever. I used to get my jeans and sneakers there for 2/3 the price of anywhere else and I could walk out with a bag of potting soil, a rice cooker, and four quarts of motor oil along with them.
I believe I recognize the location. I think the photo was taken just about here and that the attached garage on the left lost its gable in a remodel of the house. From this point in West Seattle the closest Chubby & Tubby would have been straight across the Spokane Street Viaduct, over Beacon Hill on Columbian Way and down to Rainier Ave.
