"In 1942, Executive Order 9066 ordered the removal of 110,000 civilians of Japanese descent, including 71,000 American citizens, from the western United States for placement in internment camps. The evacuees were suspected, without evidence, of being potential supporters of Japan, with which the United States was then at war"

We honor the courage of the protesters arrested at Trump Tower in solidarity with Mahmoud Khalil.

Christian Nationalists aim to make themselves the arbiters of what counts as antisemitism in order to dehumanize Palestinians, discipline Jews who refuse to support genocide, and pave the way for fascism.

Trump made this clear enough yesterday, when he declared that a Jewish politician from the opposition had "become a Palestinian" by disagreeing with him.

Just as white nationalists justify racist violence by claiming to be "protecting women," Christian nationalists are attempting to use accusations of "antisemitism" to justify crackdowns, deportations, and genocide. Don't fall for it.

Some of our people could have a ‘friendly conversation’ with JVP folks? You know, help them see the light?

Not saying Trump needs favors from ‘Jewish Illuminati’, but if a certain head of JVP were to suddenly develop a strong urge to reconsider their actions, no one is going to ask too many questions.

We aren't calling for anything drastic—just a little Old Testament persuasion. Maybe a ‘plague of inconveniences’ until they rethink their choices, ’ b’shert? Catch my drift?

@lgbtqia
anybody in upstate NY who has some spare compassion? would like to steer a trans couple fleeing abuse towards somebody who can give a bit of support. One can work, they just need away from immediate shit situation.

we’ve met our goal and our trans sci-fi short film will be made!

any extra goes to festival submission fees, extra camera lenses for the shoot, and more

the only way to see it for a while will be at festivals it gets into

but supporting at $25 gets you an early viewing link as soon as it’s done!

Against Militarization: Scientists Unite in Opposition to EU Rearmament

Manifesto from Carlo Rovelli & Flavio Del Santo:

"Humankind faces tremendous global challenges: climate change, famine in the global South, largest-ever economic inequality, increasing risks of pandemics, nuclear war. The last thing we need today is the Old Continent to move from a beacon of stability and peace to becoming a new warlord."

Two extracts from this:

"Politicians say, completely unwarrantedly, that Russia has expansionist aims towards Europe, posing a threat to Berlin, Paris and Warsaw, when it has just shown of not been even capable of taking its former satellite, Kiev"

"War propaganda is always nourished by instigating exaggerated fear. With diplomacy, Europe can go back to its peaceful coexistence and collaboration with Russia that the cursed Ukrainian affair has disrupted"

Not sure if I agree with either

@rafa_font "...the cursed Ukrainian affair", "its peaceful coexistence and collaboration with Russia"

Oh, Bast, the tankie brain is a thing to behold (and then bin). At which point in Europe's peaceful coexistence with Russia should we return? Should we go back to when Russia murdered 300 people, most of them 🇪🇺, by shooting down a civilian plane? For which we diplomatically rewarded them with Olympic Games AND the World Cup? 🚮

@Veza85UE See my answer to @rafa_font
and ask yourself if you prefer a nuclear war. Vengeance is easy and requires no brain. To overcome war, on the other hand, is difficult and requires not just brain, but guts.
Have a nice day.

Mhmm... Sacks and Mearsheimer? 🤭 REALLY?? Why not link straight to Dugin's blog or hit us up with Solovyev's rants on YouTube? Or Radio Genova, to keep in line with Kremlin propaganda in Italy. No shame in being on Team Salvini?

@rafa_font It's nonsense!! I'm mostly a pacifist but I have changed my mind on this topic. It's a shame that the only language that Russia speaks is strength. Ukraine gave up to their nuclear weapons in exchange of security deal. Russia broke it. They are funding left an right-wing parties to seed hatred between us and towards immigrants and to dismantle the EU and democracies (and science!). What else must happen for us to react? They are at war with us and have Trump in their side.
