A Canadian woman was detained by US immigration officials while attempting to enter the U.S. with a job offer and visa paperwork.
Her mother described the conditions as inhumane, with her daughter sleeping on the floor of a cell alongside nearly 30 other women, and being handcuffed and in chains each time she was transferred.
Mooney has been unable to speak directly with her family and has not been charged or given a clear explanation for her detention.
