Un año más ya tenemos a la curiosa Cistanche phelypaea dando color a los márgenes de carreteras 🥰

Por pura casualidad, casi hago la foto justo un año después de la anterior 😅

"The first year of a scheme in Wales where the speed limit on urban roads was lowered to 20mph resulted in about 100 fewer people killed or seriously injured."

Why is there still even a debate?

En waarom niet? Het is toch eerder gedaan? En nu kan het ineens niet? Begin klein.

I want every program that’s required to participate productively in society to be #FreeSoftware

Because Free Software allows me to avoid direct remote control of what I can do. And it enables me to help others with my #programming skills.

That’s why I think we need #copyleft. Ideally the #AGPL, because only that keeps webservices free. And those are programs, too.

(a discussion got me thinking why I contribute to FLOSS projects; besides wanting to share what I create, this is the reason)

Test-driving self-hosted Vaultwarden as my password store, using the various Bitwarden apps on devices, and it… just works.

Everything but passkeys imported from 1Password flawlessly. This wasn’t the case last time I tried to move.

There’s some slight rough edges with iOS integration — which could just be unfamiliarity — but it’s definitely a usable replacement

Oh, hey, the 1Password to Bitwarden/Vaultwarden migration has improved massively since I last tried it. Guess I might finally be switching.

@andyn a little bit of both, tbh. Having an escape route from a cloud service is probably the biggest reason for looking into it

It's time to test @snikket_im to try move my family chat away from #whatsapp now they better understand the problem I always had with it.

Spun up a new #linux VM and started following the installation guide. By the end of the first few steps I was looking for the rest of the doc but nope, that's literally all there is to it.

I ran a public eJabberd #xmpp server in the early 2000's and was expecting a lot more suffering but at least there's always firewall policies to give the pain I need.
