First they wanted to make lists of the autistics, trans people and those who might access abortion. Not to mention the lists that ICE undoubtedly have.
Now it's food stamp recipients.
Who and what will be next?
You know who made lists? Nazis. There's no reason for the government to require this level of personal data.
Or at least, there's no good reason. I think we all know what their reason is. This is fascism. They’re preparing lists to target and eliminate people deemed ‘undesirable’. We must fight back.
If you’re still being silent because you aren’t in a targeted group, please remember history.
Fascists won’t stop. They will land on your doorstep eventually.

« S’adapter à un monde invivable n’est pas une option ». Sur l’IA et l’enseignement
Le discours fataliste de l’adaptation à un monde envahi par les intelligences artificielles est un renoncement aux objectifs émancipateurs du service public de l’éducation. On peut le mettre en parallèle avec le discours de l’adaptation au changement climatique qui fait oublier l’objectif prioritaire : son atténuation.

hat to use up the extra yarn from making my trans flag scarf-hood. braids are turning out to be much less dramatic than in the pattern photo but this is actually for the best cuz I wanna give it to my partner who prefers a practical aesthetic.
not the easiest pattern but once you figure out the trick for not getting the yarn tangled it's much more manageable (the pattern tries to explain it but I just found it confusing as fuck. the trick is just to keep the free yarn close to the top side of the row you just made, because you'll be going back along it to unwind it)
the pattern name is Leeward Hat, btw.

in reply to David Whittle • • •"CERN researchers achieved the feat by aiming beams of lead at each other, travelling at close to the speed of light. The ions occasionally glance past each other, rather than hit head on. When this happens, the intense electromagnetic field around an ion can create a pulse of energy that triggers an oncoming lead nucleus to eject three protons — turning it into gold."
The power of a glance.
