The most recent collection of Other People's Music gets political, but in a weird way. One track fuses a rousing message of resistance with funky, soulful downtempo. The other mixes up actual sounds (and images)of police brutality against protestors with Big Beat/techno.

All that + 3 other artists, including DIY chamber pop, experimental psychedelia, and a spoken word sci-fi experimental electronic album.

I’m very interested in #decentralisation and #solarpunk, so this book seems to be right up my alley ⁂🌻 h/t: youtu.be/pdYT1vUrj34?t=2634

I liked this too, especially for the alien-children aspect, which I've never seen written like that before.

Sea ice melting rapidly in the Bering Sea. Low concentration ice now extending into the southern Chukchi Sea just north of the Bering Strait. The area of open water in the Chukchi Sea off the western North Slope coast is common this time of year but it is unusually large for mid-May. @Climatologist49 @ZLabe

Forget the Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster, let's go with a Piracy Religion! Kopimism, the Sacralisation of Information...

This is an article on sci-hub, but I'd be happy to put it somewhere else more fediverse-ish if you all have any ideas where to do that.

Kopimism is a modern parody-religion Piracy Movement that treats information as sacred and believes copying and sharing it is a duty.

It began in Sweden and blends digital rights activism with a unique moral system built around creativity, collaboration, and freedom.

Kopimists don’t worship a "god" but follow principles like respecting privacy and remixing knowledge to improve the world.

I'll join. In this age of crazy, political parties are lacking, you need an actual religion and a sect of crazies to put ideas in practice.
