When I learned to ride a motorbike I was taught to give it "soft hands". Don't wrestle with it, but lean into it. Feel what the bike is doing, and move with the machine.

Same for my ADHD brain. I have to stop fighting it. Recognise when to lean in, and when to nudge the brakes. Soft hands.
I was already 28 years old when I learned to ride. It was a fascinating experience watching my brain try to pull all the pieces together. As if I could see each and every connection lighting up inside my brain. Or not lighting up, as the case may be.
Once we learn things the application of knowledge moves below our consciousness. We don't think about how to walk or breathe, we just do it. It's so rare to get a chance to watch your brain building new pathways. That's a special treat.

“We conclude that the #AntiquitiesAct permits the President to alter a prior declaration of a national monument, including by finding that the ‘landmarks,’ ‘structures,’ or ‘objects’ identified in the prior declaration either never were or no longer are deserving of the Act’s protections,” the #DOJ opinion issued May 27 concludes.
The opinion cites #SCOTUS Chief Justice #JohnRoberts in his 2021 response to a denial of certiorari in Massachusetts Lobstermen’s Assn v. Raimondo that he’d be interested in hearing a challenge to the #AntiquitiesAct.
Roberts wrote that the act’s use has been “transformed into a power without any discernible limit to set aside vast & amorphous expanses of terrain,” & the court may have an opportunity to consider the issue in the future.
