Niby powieść szpiegowska z wątkiem kryminalnym, fajnie osadzona w międzywojniu, ale wszystko takie od sztancy:
- Popielski w gigantycznych kłopotach.
- Sprawa rangi państwowej.
- Rodzina Popielskiego jest zaledwie cieniem.
- Jako nagroda dwa stosunki w przeciągu krótkiego okresu czasu, bez minimalnej zmysłowości.
Uwielbiałem Popielskiego z pierwszych powieści (chronologicznie późniejszych) ten Popielski w sosie szpiegowskim jest niezbyt smaczny.
