Gazaโs healthcare system is collapsing under the weight of Israelโs genocide.
Children are among the hardest hit. According to the Health Cluster, children now account for 23 percent of amputations, 26 percent of spinal cord injuries, 33 percent of traumatic brain injuries, and 70 percent of burn cases requiring surgery.
Yet, there are no specialized rehabilitation services for children anywhere in Gaza.

Five months. Thatโs how long it took Donald Trump to get the United States into another Middle East war after he had told everyone he would โstop the chaos in the Middle East.โ
Trump, who proclaimed upon his inauguration he wanted to be remembered as a โpeacemaker,โ couldnโt even wait a half a year into his term to do the thing that he had told everyone he wouldnโt do, and which he built his entire political brand on opposing.

On Saturday night, U.S. warplanes attacked three Iranian nuclear sites, marking the first time the U.S. has attacked on Iranian soil in the decades-long cold war between the two countries.
The escalation was met with jubilation from Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who had relentlessly pushed for the operation.
Likewise, Trumpโs hardline supporters praised the act of war.

@davidallengreen argues persuasively that we should celebrate the two votes in the House of Commons on abortion & assisted dying as they both indicate meaningful resistance to the illiberalism of the criminal laws's invasion of our private lives.
In both cases the work is not competed (they need to navigate the House of Lords before becoming law), but I think DAG is right to draw some positive value from these developments.
Illiberalism is not inevitable!

Another thing I'd like to add, having thought about this:
It is a very good thing that we have this convention of ethical decisions being removed from the party whips. Many countries do not have that. Many countries make such issues explicitly a matter of party policy.
We should recognise that this is a rare and noble thing, and should fight to retain it.
Iranian officials issued stern warnings Monday following US airstrikes on three of the country's nuclear facilities, describing the attack as a direct act of war and pledging retaliation that could shift the regionโs balance of power.
Iranโs Chief of Staff, Major General Abdolrahim Mousavi, issued a firm warning on Monday, declaring that the United Statesโ recent actions have crossed a red line.

Israel said its defense systems were operating to intercept the threat, apparently targeting north and central areas, and told people to head to shelters.

25.3% grid energy from solar alone!
And its entirely a grassroots phenomenon, with NO government financial support beyond free trade on solar.
We now get more than a quarter of our electricity from solar, more than Europe at 7%, US at 8%, even more than China at 11%.

If people answered the actual question, it wouldn't say much about their opinion on the leaving aspect itself.

Dublin has gained thousands of financial services jobs from London. Many new ferry services (lost cabotage for UK). Amazon.ie didn't exist. Most no longer buy much from the UK. UK's trade surplus w its 5th largest and 2nd most profitable market evaporated. Big increase in UK applications for every academic & research job. Boost to intra-EU trade.
Sorry & thanks.
