2) Symptom relief is fundamentally different from therapies of depth, insight, and relationship. We care about symptom relief, of course, but we don't want to "manage" symptoms, we want to dig to the reason symptoms keep popping up in the first place. Real change starts there.

1) AI can probably help some people feel better in the short term—and that’s not nothing. But symptom relief isn’t the same as healing. Offering suggestions or a listening ear to help manage stress and get through difficult periods is a good thing.
