Adventure!
I was just settling in to go to sleep when I heard a screeching and fluttering. A rainbow lorikeet had somehow gotten inside. I grabbed it before the cats could, and the damn thing bit me with its savage parrot hook beak designed for chewing nesting holes in trees, right on the web of skin between my thumb and finger. It latched on and kept increasing the force, a mouth full of human skin not preventing it from screeching over and over. So I was screaming in pain, it was screaming in terror, I rushed outside and threw it into the air., and it flew away. I assume it was unhurt, but under the circumstances I couldn't really check. I am not unhurt, I am bleeding buckets. And I'm not at all feeling sleepy.
