The image features a cartoon character with a light blue body, large ears, and a red scarf around its neck. The character is wearing a beige hat with a red star, reminiscent of a Soviet-style hat. It is smiling widely and waving with its right hand. The character is holding a bowl filled with white dumplings in its left hand. Surrounding the character are various food items, including a plate with rolled pastries, a plate with sandwiches, and a bowl with more dumplings. The background is a solid orange color. Above the character's head, there is a speech bubble with the Chinese characters "里厚," which translates to "thick inside."

I prefer to err on the side of supporting the right to protest, and I'm generally consistent. So, I support these protesters' right to protest as they did. But man, that shit is fuuuuucked up, though. 👀

Just because I support your right to protest doesn't mean I think you're a good person. That shit is... really really not ok.

"A pro-#Palestinian #demonstration in the northern #Swedish city of #Umeå has sparked widespread outrage after featuring a controversial display depicting hanged mannequins dressed in striped #concentrationcamp uniforms, complete with yellow stars and prisoner numbers, evoking imagery from the #Holocaust.

The mannequins were suspended from #gallows beneath a banner in Swedish that read: “#Genocide is genocide is genocide.” #Socialmedia images from the #protest also show a figure wearing a keffiyeh holding a baby doll, while Palestinian flags were displayed beside the gallows."

FYI ynet sucks but what'cha gonna do, amirite?

I don't see here repression mostly as a tool of punishment (of course it doesn't absolve them), but whether it'll help to change the situation for the better.

and it could *only* do it, if it limits the exposure of the rest of society to this radicalizing discourse. and it doesn't.

If a KKK member thinks they're just "standing up for the white race", that doesn't absolve them of their hateful actions.

Why should it be different here?

Last week the power went out while we were drawing comics. We continued working in the dark, creating content that literally no one could see – which, based on the moody behavior of the algorithm, felt somehow familiar.

Illuminate our creative process (literally, we need to pay the electric bill) by joining our Patreon. Members get early access to comics, exclusive content, and our eternal gratitude – which admittedly has no cash value, but feels nice.
