Good morning lovely people.

No lovely words this morning, its a grey drizzly day and some fuckers car alarm kept going off during the night so I'm a grumpy toad this morning.

I really need to get out and moving today, a few days doing nothing but stitch has done wonders for my mind, but my body has seized up more than usual. So I think this morning, its coffee, meds then walkies time for me.

Have a lovely day everyone 😊

Okay. Can anyone tell me what might be wrong with this graph [still] used in an ABC News story from two weeks ago? (hint in next post)

Have a look at this graph for the Jan-Jul 2025 time period used in the figure above....

Another hint. Don't worry about the RSV graph.

The glider's transponder (TRIG TT22) has been successfully tested in the garage. Woo hoo!

After configuring the device, I put it through some initial tests.

Even in the garage the GPS antenna can get a position fix.

Applying higher or lower pressure to the static port on the transponder shows a corresponding change on the displayed altitude.

Applying pitot tube air pressure to the squat switch changes the transponder mode from ground to airborne, which is what we want.

Note: I can't test the radio/antenna/transmission capabilities in the garage. And anyway, I need to get the transponder checked at an avionics shop...they have specialty test equipment.

I was out of town for a short vacation and missed #caturday . Here is my late response. I think that he is happy to have me home.

Well that was a journey — years, years, I’ve been telling people to watch Sandbaggers (and read Queen & Country) — and turns out I only ever watched a third of it. And can't continue recommending it enough.

And so now I’m on to the book about creator Ian MacKintosh.

(After a dive on the cast in IMDb led to spending time with symphonic versions of Saltwater, you know how these things go.)

A mysterious life is right, information thin on most of it, but still insightful.

Was hoping for more behind-the-scenes of the show, but suppose that's been covered elsewhere. And probably not a lot of that was documented in the first place

A short read, worth it for fans of the show.

And gives me his five(!) novels that he wrote while in the navy(!) to hunt down.

Reddit post: Im going to lose everything.

"Today is day 12 after infection. I tried to go to work today and I got lost on the way there, a drive I’ve made 1000 times. When I got to work I couldn’t remember my name or how I got here. I don’t know how to get home. I’m scared. I’m going to lose my job, my fiance, my home. I can’t just not work"
