many new web features were invented because of porn... If you would compare for example pornhub to youtube, pornhub had certain features much earlier

Autodueling in the wastelands of the 2030's is hard on your equipment.

(AADA was the American Autoduel Association, both an in-game and real-world assn, and my friends and I started the first chapter in Kansas, "The Roadkill Cafe". I carried this on my keychain for years.)

in reply to D. Moonfire

@dmoonfire I met Karen though the BBS she ran. The Wichita crowd eventually had meetups.

That's awesome. I love when people connect through unusual methods.

"Antisemitism" a.k.a "Recognising anyone other than an Israeli settler as human and deserving empathy."

The Police HATE White People

[quote].The British police have set up an ‘elite’ team to monitor social media in order to prevent White Britons from organising protests against migrant hotels. This is the latest draconian attempt by the British state to silence an increasingly angry public who are tired of multiculturalism and mass immigration – but it isn’t the only dirty trick the state and the police are employing./quote]

Cette semaine ma #VendrediLecture c'est Les Animaux Dénaturés, de Vercors, ici en Livre de Poche.
Roman drôle et atypique dans lequel se pose la question de la définition de l'être humain.
in reply to Deidre 📍

Excellent roman, très fortement recommandé. La réflexion politico-scientifique n'a pas pris une ride

What worries me more than China or even Russia launching satellites is that "Dozens of satellites are being launched each week, primarily by SpaceX to continue deploying the Starlink broadband network."

A private company taking over space with apparently no control and no accountability from anyone seems way more dangerous to me.
We're in full "James Bond Villain" territory here.
