Given White House pardon activity & concierge treatment for Ghislaine Maxwell, I’m not confident that reopening the House, swearing in Grijalva, and voting to release the Epstein files will actually shake them loose. I half expect a “the dog ate my homework” incident. digbysblog.net/2025/11/12/will…

Okay, I just cannot..

I think it's better Ubisoft is going down the drain because this is just in no way close to any standards

I was trying out the new Assassin's Creed Shadows but after a little playtime I am seriously stuck UNDER the map, no way to get out

This piece of poop costs at a min 70 bucks and is made by a so called "triple A" studio

C'mon! Even I as a single indie dev have fixed this common issue in my games

From one game dev to another, get your shit together Ubi

It was quite recently I found out the AAA term is just complete bullshit with no relation to any guarantee for quality.

I think it's important to note that the guy executing a world historical cover-up of his connection to the worst child rape trafficker of the century is deporting people who have committed no crime and want nothing more than to work hard and pay their taxes.

Bagpipers play tribute to AC/DC in world record attempt in Melbourne

Hundreds of bagpipers have made history in Melbourne's Fed Square, breaking the world record for the largest ever bagpipe ensemble.

A crowd of thousands gathered in the CBD to watch 374 bagpipers play along to AC/DC’s It’s a Long Way to the Top (If You Wanna Rock ‘n’ Roll), shattering the world record.

The previous record was held by 333 bagpipers, who gathered at Sofia, Bulgaria in May 2012.

It’s really tiring hearing the, “open source is bad for security!” argument whenever it pops up, but especially in domains that *have a lot of work to be done* when it comes to adopting open source, like LLMs and AI models.

Being MORE open is not the problem here. Opening up the weights and releasing under open licenses does not suddenly create security vulnerabilities, unless you believe solely in security through obscurity—which, I’m sorry, the tech industry has moved on from for the better.

I fear we are approaching an era
where it will be necessary to take to the streets in mass to protest against surveillance and invasive laws.

We need to tell our representatives loud and clear that citizens do value their privacy rights.

Many seem to be unmoved by our emails.

They will not be able to ignore our shouts as easily.

#Privacy #PrivacyRights #HumanRights #Protest #StandUpForYourRights

Fat chance of that happening in the UK . They've got us nailed down tight and our 'English Officer Class' are as much use as a wet tea cloth. No cojones. #resist
in reply to Em

I've the same fears but I'm not sure if we can change their minds with just protesting.

I still think that we need alternatives to standard hardware & protocols to have a chance to escape the doom.

A lot of people are hypnotised by their devices, soon they will talk to their freezers, robots will invade our streets and our homes, Internet is vanishing under the AI generated summaries and many "users" pick any generated answer as undeniable truth so...

Medical literature: this disease is diagnosed by patient history and symptoms, along with ruling out other conditions

Dr: no, I can't diagnose you. You have to see a specialist
Specialist: no, I can't diagnose you, talk to a GP

Could you just believe me? I know my history

Everyone: no, you must be lying, talk to a doctor

One of the things about living in Sydney is you don't know if you're having a stroke or there's a bushfire/backburning.

I smell burning so this may be my last post. Oh wait, it's cleared.
