There was a backlog for a while due to COVID and an issue with the emissions testing machines.
But it is reasonably efficient apart from that. The centre I used, in Newtownards, has seven lanes. It’s set up like a production line. Drive in the front, and the car progresses through various machines and hoists for all the checks. Then you leave from the rear of the building. The inspectors take the car through. Drivers have a waiting area.

De stank van zaterdag bij het Concertgebouw in Amsterdam werd veroorzaakt door boterzuur. Volgens een woordvoerder van de politie is vastgesteld dat deze stof het gebouw is binnengebracht. De politie doet onderzoek en heeft nog niemand aangehouden.
Het Concertgebouw werd aan het einde van de middag ontruimd, toen zich kort na afloop van een voorstelling een nare geur verspreidde. Mensen voelden zich onprettig en werden er misselijk van, meldde de veiligheidsregio.
Diverse organisaties willen zondag demonstreren bij het Concertgebouw. Aanleiding is het chanoekaconcert met de omstreden Israëlische voorzanger Shai Abramson. De politiewoordvoerder kon niet zeggen of er een verband is tussen het boterzuur en het aangekondigde protest. "We nemen alle scenario's mee. Het is te vroeg om daar nu al een conclusie aan te hangen."
