Unfortunately, I have to say this again:

US election infrastructure isn't perfect and there's still work to do to make it more secure. But there is simply no credible evidence that the 2020 election outcome was altered through technical attacks, despite exhaustive scrutiny.

Shortly after the 2020 election, when these discredited claims were first raised, 58 of my colleagues and I issued this statement:

mattblaze.org/papers/election2… .

Nothing we've learned since then alters my assessment.

And Chris Krebs of CISA worked with any state that wanted assistance in securing their voting systems and declared it was the safest most secure election ever (was fired for saying it) and today of all things an executive order was signed to have him investigated by the DOJ. An executive order FFS. Banana republic.

There's also no credible evidence that any other US election outcome has been altered through technical means, despite wishful and/or opportunistic assertions otherwise.

The problem is not "election hacking"
The problem is the oligarchical monopoly on the media and the corporate control of our politicians.

I am worried by the people replying to you asserting otherwise. Political literacy these days is in the toilet.

No, I'm not going to argue with you about election security here.

Since the digital interference question is settled, how confident are you about analog and other types of shenanigans not affecting ourcomes?

@evanwolf I'm too tired to play stupid word games about this. I said what I said. Take it or leave it.

when lots of people got the opportunity to vote by mail (like Oregon has done for ages) I talked to the secretary of state's office and found out that of all the votes cast in election years since 1996, Oregon has had 12 cases of voter fraud that got as far as a courtroom. Of those 12 some portion were unintentional, like someone signing the ballot for their spouse who had a hard time holding a pen but with their knowledge etc.

Here's what I said, FWIW. I have no idea how much clearer I can be. federate.social/@mattblaze/114…

good call, old mate is a borderline blueanon who thinks bernie sanders was an op to target hillary. not worth trying to affect the reality they have constructed, especially not with information.
in reply to Matt Blaze

Voter fraud is extremely rare and almost non-existent. Attempts to reduce it will only reduce voter participation.

@FranceskaMann OK. However, none of that involves technical exploitation of voting systems.

what about the MAGA wackos taking computer data home with them?
in reply to MJ Muse

@MJmusicinears what about it? Assuming you’re talking about Coffee County, GA, that happened well after the election.
in reply to Matt Blaze

maybe they prepped? I'm worried that ballots got tossed this time
in reply to MJ Muse

@MJmusicinears "This thing might conceivably have happened" is not the same as "This thing happened".
