“Emotional Outsourcing” is the term I coined (and trademarked going back to January 2012) to describe the way we chronically source our sense of worth, value, significance, and emotional wellness from everyone and everything outside ourselves (to our own detriment), because we do not believe that we are inherently worthy of love and care exactly as we are.
