We are celebrating our 31st anniversary today! We have adopted a new logo to signal positive changes. We have refreshed our logo to reflect the new type of organization we have become — one that wants to re-engage with our community, and reach new audiences.

… and the "3" shape is … not the digit three? Your official description is that:

> It depicts a symbol made of three flowing lines that resemble the links of a chain. The words ā€˜The World Wide Web Consortium’ circle around it.

So it was meant, like, `⛓³` or `šŸ”—Ā³`? Chains cubed? Box of chains? Or is the `³` bit meant to be somewhat broken part of the "chains"? Like attached handcuffs or something? āDarlingāž?

Well, that's quite a •bold• choice of new logo. It reminds me of something…

Sorry the previous one was better. This one you don't understand what it is.

I’m sorry, but that is not a good logo. It has poor legibility. What does it convey?
in reply to World Wide Web Consortium

I really don't understand why including a phallic symbol in the logo, which every developer I know called out as as their first response. This is really problematic if wanting to be inclusive and understanding broad perspectives across developer communities. #w3c
