"Waters is accused of antisemitism by Rabbi Abraham Cooper after one of his concerts displayed a giant pig balloon sporting the Star of David."

Germany's a bit sensitive about this kind of thing

Amnesty International called Israel an apartheid state. You don't need any other validation. Israel is an apartheid state and BDS is a completely valid call.

Plus Israel is now under the real menace of becoming an actual fascist state. Support demonstrations in Israel, support democracy and peace!

It hurts my soul that the policy of the State of Israel forces us to classify this regime as a system of apartheid.

Having given it long thoughts and after several discussions with people I know I can trust, I decided to support BDS.

There's no problem with protests but then you need to register your event as such, and that just requires different planning. Germany's got a shaky but existing history of criticising Israel's racism, for example https://www.reuters.com/article/us-israel-netanyahu-hitler-germany-idUKKCN0SF1OI20151021

Yes, there is also criticism of Israel from German politicians. But never one with consequences. If these are demanded one has fast the state power against itself.

Yes, they really do crumble at any accusation of fascism. Though with Russia using "Nazi" as a blanket term for everything, this attack is losing potency fast.

So called unconditional solidarity with "Israel" is part of the official rationale of state in Germany. Meaning that any critic of the policy of the State of Israel against the Palestinians is classified as antisemitism.

btw that is how it was made possible to tell such rubbish like "left-wing antisemitism".
