So yeah... I've got a trandparent laptop now. Which is a perfectly normal thing to own. Augmented reality, if you will. Please don't pay too much attention to a perfectly legal copy of WinXP and to BMW tuning software. I just didn't want to invest the time into installing an operating system before making sure that transparent mod works first.
A white Asus EeePC, through the display of which a keyboard and calipers are visible, partially obstructed for demonstration reasons. The laptop is weirdly backlit, to hide how dark and opaque the display actually is.

Oh, and by the way, THAT is the proper basement for a real #liquidglass deal, not that #LiquidAss crap that Apple is pathetically messing around with.
Back view of my transparent laptop. Through a cutout in the lid, the handheld lamp and laptop's keyboard are visible. A PCB, interfacing the LCD panel with the motherboard, is just dangling at the back side (towards viewer)
