The flower of a Fish-Poison Tree (Barringtonia racemosa) spotted at Kranji Marshes, Singapore on 31 Oct 2024. Usually found on the banks of mangroves, shores and rivers, and known as a way to catch fish by poisoning them.

A flower of the tree which is hanging down from a stalk. The petals are white and curve upwards, with numerous long white stamens dangling down like stiff threads.
