Bezos did in fact step down as the CEO a little while ago, but your point about Amazon simply increasing the prices still stands.

@charlag Good question! I assumed not buying from Amazon is a way to show support, but looking at the official site of the movement makeamazonpay.com, but don't really see a clear answer to this. However, looking through their "graphics toolkit", I found this?

i have never bought anything from amazon and never plan to do so. amazon not only exploits the workers but also outcompetes the local stores. and when they are gone you can expect to pay a lot more. I really do not understand why you would participate in this

I just wanted to look for some socks today. I can wait a couple days, I guess. Also, you can avoid buying from Amazon by going straight to the source and supporting them directly, which helps them avoid a pretty steep Amazon tax.
