Looking for (almost) basic #Linux (X11) #AudioCD #player. That is, just play control buttons, CDDB lookup (preferably automatic, with cache), title display and song list, and… that's it. alsaplayer, but with CDDB support would be near perfect.

What I'm specifically not interested in:

  • music library-centred solutions, having also AudioCD support (I have QuodLibet and MPD already)
  • commandline/TUI (wife unfriendly)
  • rippers
  • mounting as bunch of .wav-s
  • generic all-media players, where AudioCD is buried deeply in “select source” dialogs

Just put the disc in, see the titles displayed, press play, hear #music. Bonus points for being in Debian/Devuan. I remember there was a bunch of such programs back in the day, where are they now?
