Photos from last Sunday when we had our first #snow of the season. A fairly mild to warm week and most of it is gone, with little bits in some shady spots. Today cloudy with chance of rain/thunderstorms (I'm doubtful) but another week forecast to be mostly above average. 1-Views from the moving car on a wet and snowy morning. The snow is coming down fairly heavily at times, and the effect is increased by the fact that most of the shots have some amount of zoom (i.e.- as you look farther through the snow, it gets snowier!). The sky is evenly grey, visibility often reduced by the falling snow, at times appearing misty or falling in large clumpy flakes. Looking up a wet gravel road, with snow covered grassy verges. On each side are low willows in muted autumn gold. On the left there is also a line of dark power poles, and farther on some golden poplars above the willows. On the right farther back is a stand of mixed woods with dark spruce.

Hard to see but probably this was something like a mix of grass and alfalfa or something, thick vegetation but uneven in height/density. Now, with snow weighing it down, it appears lumpy with dark bits showing through the snow. Across the field a wire and post fence angles away to the left, blurring more with distance through the snow, and behind a barely visible stand of mixed woods, with slightly rounded edges and disappearing ghostly into the snow.
