Resistance Protection sigil
Inspired by The Raven’s Wing Magical Co-op's sigil to protect the people protesting ICE, here is an updated redesign. Adding a call for action and unity, as well as broadening its intent. And sneaking in a triple moon and a pentagram.

Did you know, that one of Ireland's chief saints is "Brigit", and her actual historicity is in serious doubt? It is increasingly assumed that she in fact derives from the Goddess Brighid, and that the Saint may have never existed.
Well, ICYMI, today I published an article asserting that another of our Saints, Íta, likewise was a full euhemerisation of another famous #Irish goddess: The #Mórrígan. A revealing one.

Thinking back to when stone circles were made, that mark the sunrise on the shortest day. People had no calendars to tell them the date. Today people go on the morning of the shortest day, and gather to watch the sun rise (although here in the UK it is often so cloudy you can’t tell whether the sun is up or not!).
I imagine, that in the past, someone would be there every morning, watching. The days would grow shorter, maybe a single person at first would go to watch, eager for the sun to turn. Then as it got close, more people would take up the vigil, until the turning of the year was marked.
How accurate are the stones anyway? Would the sun hit the right spot for several days in a row?

I am a solitary #pagan at this stage of my life. Tend closer to #SlavicPaganism in some eclectic and below-radar way.
I observe some special days like recent Winter Solstice and other steps of Circle of the Year, for example.
I do various "not science-proven" things sometimes, some call them rituals. Or even #witchcraft but I guess all that "too fancy names" for small things I do.
I just hope one day times will come when people of all faiths will live in peace.
