I had the idea inspired by a person who visited 135 countries, to read at least one history book from every country covering as much as possible.

I thought that going through the list alphabetically would be logical. Two country names stood up in the A's as I didn't know very much about Andorra nor Azerbaijan.

I had prev DL from the Internet Archives the New Cambridge history of India now in the public domain.

Yep, I come back to her kind of cyclically. Some of my favourite are 'Goodbye Tsugumi', 'Asleep', and one never translated in English (to my knowledge) 'L'ultima amante di Hachiko'
