Misskey and its clones reminds me of MySpace
It does many things, and the UI is packed with distracting elements like the current date represented in progress bars (lol why tho?)
I wish them all the best, maybe I'm old, but I like the simplicity of Mastodon

in reply to dansup • • •I don't want loads of features, just straightforward simplicity and intuitive design. Anything I can't do on the phone app, I can probably do on the web app, and anything I can't do on the web app, I probably don't need.

in reply to dansup • • •For now, I'm trying out the Classic layout. I'll see if that makes a significant difference, because I've been constantly bouncing back to Mastodon just for feeling drained by all the bells and whistles in calckey.
That said, I like the richness _potential_ displayed in calckey. (As long as I don't have to engage with any of the Settings. 😬)

Calckey has a high degree of customisability it seems.
