How is artificial intelligence going be deployed? We know historically that when machinery came into production, John Stuart Mill said, machinery should lighten the load of labor, I cannot understand why when machinery is actually employed, it is doubling the load of labor. [1/8]

We may have the same story. If capital is responsible for the way in which artificial intelligence is going to be deployed, it's going to mean that actually capital is going to reap all the advantages and it's going to use it to maximize the surplus value extraction... [2/8]

This is the part that is difficult to point out to those currently enamoured by the rise of AI, and it's widespread use.

The straw man argument is always "you're a Luddite, you're simply afraid of technology" ... no one hates technology, it's simply extremely clear that it's being used to displace workers.
