I sincerepy wish #Redox to be successful, but I'm shure it'll be sutck on the same fence that #BSD|s and in the past #Linux got stuck on.

Remember:

  • Applications make Operating Systems&
  • Operating Systems make Hardware

And that's why #Apple can sell overpriced #arm64 machines and why noone wants to buy #Windows on #arm machines.

Interesting article!

Just one error; the Linux kernel is a monolithic kernel, not a hybrid kernel like macOS or Windows NT, and not a microkernel like Redox OS.

Nice! There could be an article about Genode/Sculpt OS as well. It's c++, but also uses microkernel(s), and can use drivers straight from linux, providing comparable hardware support
