This is the official Berlin city description of No Man’s Land, a movie co-directed by an Israeli Jew and a Palestinian Arab about the Israeli occupation.

German politics is f-ed up, grotesque and insulting on so many levels. Devoid of any self-awareness, and they’re only getting worse.

It focuses on the life of Palestinians in the West Bank and their suffering under Israeli occupation. The film, which has anti-Semitic tendencies, was completed in 2023, after the Hamas attack on Israel, which is not reflected in this documentary.

A film that won the Berlinale and was recently invited to a special screening in the German embassy in Israel. It pains me to see how, after murdering most of my family in the holocaust, you empty the word antisemitism of meaning to silence critics of Israel's occupation in the West Bank (the topic of our film) and legitimize violence against Palestinians.
