Do you remember the "Download Managers" that people used back in the days?

Does thoose still exist?

I haven't seen (or looked for one) in a long time. But do remember them. I used to use one myself which was very useful for managing a lot of downloads of MP3s from music blogs when piracy was in its hey-day.

I'm sure it had a red icon with a lightning bolt in it. ⚑️

The most useful thing was that AT THE TIME if you ran 50+ downloads in your browser and some of them failed you had to revisit the site to download them again. But the download manager had a "Retry" button. πŸ˜‚

They do; aria2 is pretty robost πŸ™‚ I remember when download resumption became a thing; it made downloading #RedHat and #Slackware iso files easier over modem in the 90s, lol.
