Yes, thank you for reminding me!

@thisismissem did a great job with that!

I went ahead and updated my article.

@andre Great, thank you for following up on this! Hope you learned something interesting!

@andre Yeah, a network graph would be an appropriate chart type for this, but I felt like this makes it a bit easier to compare the number of connections between the different instances. (Which, arguably, yes, if you follow a lot of single-user instances, may not work too well.)

Plus, I'd have to check the instance/peers endpoint if I wanted to map connections between all the instances -- not necessary, but maybe more interesting to look at.

Either way, I appreciate the suggestions!

doesn't seem to support glitch (mastodon fork) instances yet? tried to log in with wetdry.world and got a "something went wrong" page
in reply to Conor

@mrconorae Sorry about that, let me look into it.

Thank you for reporting this!

@mrconorae Hi there, would you mind giving this one more try?

The site worked with an infosec.exchange account. I'm hoping this was just a temporary glitch (ha, no pun intended), otherwise I'll have to sign up on your instance and look into this a bit more.

Really appreciate your time!

Hmm... still not quite. Got a bit further this time by clearing cookies (that first error might have been my fault!) but now seeing this:

wetdry has manual signups that can take a week or more to process, so I'm happy to do as much debugging as I can from my end. Let me know if I can help with console logs or anything like that :)
in reply to Conor

@mrconorae Ah, bummer. I appreciate the offer, I think it'll be easier, for me to sign up for an account and test things locally.

Really appreciate all your help!

So this is getting strange. I just got my account approved, and was able to log in, both on Firefox and Chrome on Windows.

Sorry for taking up your time, but would you mind sharing more details on which browser and OS you are using, and seeing if you are perhaps able to log in with a different browser?

I also wonder if there are any security/privacy settings that might interfere here, which has been the case for Misskey/Calckey.

@uwe I see Sharkey is a Misskey fork, so I went ahead and added it to the list of supported platforms, I think it should just work without any other changes needed.

Would you be interested in giving this I try?

(No worries if not, I can sign up somewhere and test it myself.)

Either way, thank you for reaching out about this!

in reply to Stefan Bohacek

Thank you, I have now tested it and it works. :-)

I'm just surprised at the results. I follow 420 accounts ...

in reply to Tower

@uwe Ah, sorry, that's clearly not right. Let me look into why it's cutting off, thank you!
