Climate change is here. It is our greatest common enemy and an existential threat to all.

We can still make a difference, but we need to act now and confront this challenge together.

#COP28 starts in less than two weeks and is an opportunity to push for real progress.

How about this time y’all do more than just give lip service? Yesterday we breached 2Β°C above the IPCC baseline for the first time. A good start would be to ban private yachts, and jets. The 1% emit more CO2 than the poorest 66% combined.

Concentrate on origin of the most problems. Baning yachts probably will satisfy you, but won't do any impact. tromsite.com/documentaries/tro…

Suuure. In the UAE, organised by the people who mainly profit from both fossil energy business and human right violations in their countries, you'll definitely be able to push for progress. πŸ˜†

You aren't even able to finally ban fossil investments and end subsidies INSIDE the EU for years now. Instead you're working hard on things like total surveillance.

But sure, go ham at #COP28. We'll see how well that works out in a few weeks once again.

we need political action, not just communication, we know it's hard to manage economic prosperity and ecology, but preserving the first at the expense of the other will cost us both, we need to move way faster away from fossil fuel, reduce or eliminate meat consumption, limit air travel across the board (from private jets to low cost lines), we can only do so much as individual, and politics can totally erase our efforts if going in the wrong direction.

and yet, billionaires keep flying and profiting from their oil businesses. When are emissions going to be taxed?
