I was delighted to come across some polliwogs today, in a creek where I used to catch them as a little kid. Who calls them tadpoles instead of polliwogs?
Small black critters that look like fish with huge heads swim in a shallow pond. These frog or toad babies have large black heads and bodies with small narrow tails. They will soon grow legs and develop into the adult frogs we are familiar with.

Ain't heard nobody call em pollywogs in a coon's age. 😆 That's all we knew em by growin up. Thanks fer the memory!
