If you're looking for additional context, it would likely be found by reading the previous post which I linked in the post body. Here is the link again: lemmy.zip/post/53113975

Edit: But, that’s besides the point! Give the SPIRIT phone project a look on github! github.com/SPIRIT-org/SPIRIT

I found this closed issue: github.com/aeharding/voyager/i…

Here is an excerpt from that link

This is intentional. In this case, you should tap the crosspost to view full text.

Alternatively if you don’t prefer this behavior, you can disable crosspost embed in Settings to get the normal Lemmy behavior.

Seems like its a setting in the FE, with an, in my opinion, non-sensible default. Might be worth submitting an issue and asking for the default for that setting to be flipped, since it seems to be causing confusion.

In case you weren't aware, everything from the crosspost shows as intended in Friendica, same (formatting aside) as I see it if I go to the lemmy.zip post.

Really cool project too!! I've wanted for quite some time to build one that mounts on my arm like in the later episodes of Chuck. I was thinking of runing #postmarketOS on mine though.

Hope ye stick with it, this is what it's all about.

From my perspective

Are you aware that I don't have your perspective?

I wanted to know more about your project, from your own words. Instead I got a lecture about how "dumb" I am, so I'm no longer interested, because you seem like a jerk. Whether that was intensional or is coming from an ill-adapted social outlook, I'm still not sure of.

You seem to care more about being correct than talking about your project, which is your choice, I suppose.

I'd close this with a glib sign-off like "have a nice day", but I'm not sure having a nice day is within your array of skills.
